A Lillypalooza Teaser

New photos coming soon!

I've been back for about a week and simply didn't have any news for you patient people. However! Saturday was the great Lillypalooza at Esoterica. Eight hours, seven acts, and nearly 300 photos later, I was a very tired photo-monkey, but this means that you, my patient readers, will get some samples, hopefully by the end of the week. Keep your fingers crossed!

Meanwhile, the next couple of months will be crazy. I can't guarantee any photos, but I will try to keep you all updated to the latest goings on. Perhaps I'll pull some oldies-but-goodies from the archives for you. Perhaps I'll finally get the website up and running, good and proper! Stick with me, folks, I'll be sure to keep your lives interesting, one way or another.

Back to Florida.

I'm headed back to Florida on Friday and will be home Sunday. I can't guarantee pictures (we're burying my grandmother), but I do plan on having the camera this time and might be able to squeeze in some shots around the interment, especially since my brother turns 28 on Friday. Talk about timing...

Hoot pics!

I've been home a few days now and finally - thanks to one whoops after the other - have had time to peek at the pictures I took. I only have a few to show - there was a lot of talking and a little drinking that prevented me from safely operating heavy machinery (hey, a camera counts!), but here are a couple of highlights from Hoot 'N' Any 2008.

These fuzzy caterpillars were everywhere...


... even kicking slugs out of house and home!

Irene spent a good part of Friday and Saturday giving people henna tattoos.

Katie had a blast taking pictures (she's shutterbuggy like me), playing with caterpillars, and getting henna on her ankles.

It was so much fun; we plan on going back next year. That makes three festivals we're attending and one we wish we could... ack!
